About this work

Instagram is a great way to make stories because of the swiping. Williams had been making ‘grumpy’ single-frame Instagram drawings for a few years with the odd set of stories. Then, in 2023, he decided to create some characters and populate a little The Sims-like world with them, making up situations for them to deal with.
The work can also be viewed on Instagram here.
Williams’s exhibition Older Artist will be on display at Phillida Reid gallery until 27 May 2023.
