The Larval Stage of a Dragonfly is a Nymph (2023)

There is a dragonfly by the Big Dipper. I swear he gets bigger every night—on course to hit the earth. I try to explain the difference between a big dragonfly and a baby dragonfly to a man on the street, but he points to me and asks: ‘Nympho?’ I go to check, but find my coat zipper has disappeared, rendering it into a puffy smock. ‘I have to take care of this,’ I say. My hands frown over the closed pockets forever.
