Textual Space in a Biomorphic Field (2023)

About this work

Published in HOAX issue 7
Nuzzo created Textual Space in a Biomorphic Field from a collage made using waste. For previous work, Nuzzo had made inkjet print letters and dye sublimation prints of figurative drawings to create a heat press collage. She piled these in her studio with the intent to throw them away, and then realised that the pile had become a work in itself. With these, Nuzzo created a collage within two sheets of plexiglass, then digitally captured them to create a new, fully-flat piece. This piece is a play on the ever-evolving relationship between Nuzzo’s work in its flat and multi-dimensional states.
