The Writer Workshops Her First Story presents the first story Jennifer Fliss ever wrote, around fifteen years ago. The piece is a veiled version of Fliss’s personal experiences with abuse. Fliss has now “workshopped” the text, reviewing the document in line with her current voice, expertise and hindsight—a nonfiction commentary on the original work of fiction.
