About this work
A rough soundscape and poetic performance thinking through themes of vocalised embodiment, gothic cityscapes, cultural saturation. Interspersed with found recordings, ephemeral sounds, and music samples, the soundscape rearticulates the page poetry of ‘phantasmic folds’, further opening out the possibility of aesthetic sociality. The devotional song-form of the bhajan figures as a mythopoetic conceit pointing to disjunctive lines of flight in the historical present, and is part of a larger sequence.
